Klebelsberg Kastely

May 15 @ 11:30 am 1:30 pm

Join us for an excursion to the recently renovated Klebelsberg Castle. Although it presently functions as a guest house, we will be touring the memorial house and library, and afterwards enjoying refreshments in the Zsolnay Cafe.

The castle was the main residence of Count Kuno von Klebelsberg (1875–1932), a Hungarian politician who served as Minister of the Interior and Minister of Culture between the World Wars. As Culture Minister (1922–1931), he led major education reforms—expanding rural elementary schools, modernizing universities, founding the Collegium Hungaricum to promote Hungarian culture abroad, and introducing progressive university scholarship policies.
