Book Club

Our February read is a classic. Set in Budapest, Ferenc Molnár’s The Paul Street Boys, is “a poignant novel about 14 year-old schoolboys, in 1889 Budapest, fighting to protect their vacant lot playground, ‘the ground’, from the rival ‘Redshirts’ gang. It highlights themes of friendship, loyalty, and lost innocence.”
We will meet at a restaurant for our discussion and lunch. Before our lunch and for those who have time, come early so we’ll be able to view murals and sculptures inspired by the novel.
