Apáthy Rock Hike
August 11 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Join us for a scenic hike to one of Budapest’s most beautiful natural viewpoints. Tucked into the Buda Hills, Apáthy Rock is a dramatic limestone outcrop offering sweeping views over the Buda Hills, surrounding forests, and parts of the city. The trail follows shaded woodland paths before emerging onto the rocky overlook—an ideal spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.
Distance: Approximately 2–3 km (1.2–1.9 miles)
Duration: About 2 hours
Difficulty: Easy to moderate. The trail is mostly shaded with one short but steeper climb near the viewpoint. We’ll keep a relaxed pace and stop as needed.
After the hike, we’ll return to Batthany tér and head to lunch together, for all who would like to join.
Please wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, and don’t forget your camera!
